Actalent Power Systems Engineer in Houston, Texas

Description:

Currently sourcing for Power System Engineers in Houston, Texas.

  • Design and review of medium/low voltage electrical power generation, distribution and microgrid systems

  • Preparation of electrical documentation including Short Circuit, Arc Flash and Coordination, Power System, Grounding, Load Flow, Harmonics, Fault studies, and Transient studies using software such as ETAP/SKM

  • Preparation of other documentation including area classifications, drawings and reports, fugitive emissions studies, single line diagrams, and electrical BOMs as well as reports associated with electrical system studies

  • Develop and maintain technical documentation related to electrical systems

  • Provide engineering support to other departments as needed

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Qualified candidates should have 8+ years of experience supporting power generation projects and 5+ years of experience working with ETAP/SKM

  • Experience and understanding within Power Delivery is required.

  • Skills in some or most of the following is necessary:

  • ETAP

  • SKM

  • Power Systems

  • Power Distribution

  • Substation

  • Distribution

  • Microgrid
