Patient Care Technician - G19W Leukemia

Shift: Day/Evening. 7AM - 7PM, 7AM - 3PM, 3PM - 11PM.

A combination of 2 twelve and 2 eight hour shifts per week, with rotating weekends and holidays.

SUMMARY

Function: Provides patient care services as assigned by a registered nurse.

Scope; Impacts patient comfort and outcome of care.

Essential Job Functions:

· Acts as member of a multidisciplinary team that identifies and addresses patient care needs.

· Assists in completion of activities of daily living, mobilization, admit/discharge and obtaining vital signs.

· Updates and retrieves patient information.

· Ensures patient environment is maintained in a clean, safe and orderly manner.

· Acts as part of an assigned care team.

· Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISION

Received: Directly from a registered nurse.

Given: None.

REQUIREMENTS

Education Required: High school diploma or equivalent.

Education Preferred: None.

Experience Required: None

Experience Preferred: Experience in an acute care setting as a Nursing Assistant

Licensure/Certification Required: None.

Licensure/Certification Preferred: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).

Other Required: Must pass pre-employment skills test as required and administered by Human Resources.
