MATHEMATICAL RESEARCH INC Passive Thermal Control Design Engineer or CPE - Orion in HOUSTON, Texas

MRI, a woman-owned Technologies and Engineering Services company is searching for a Passive Thermal Control (PTC) Design Engineer or CPE to join the Orion PTC team. This role supports a surge effort to complete multiple drawing updates, including thermal blankets, heaters, MMOD (micrometeoroid and orbital debris) drawings, and more. We welcome candidates with labor grades II-IV, offering both full-time and part-time availability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Update and complete drawings for passive thermal control hardware, including thermal blankets, heaters, and MMOD components.
  • Utilize CREO to design and revise PTC-related components.
  • Follow the Orion Drawing release process to ensuretimelyandaccuratedocumentation.

Required Skills:

  • Typically requires a minimum of abachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Proficiencywith CREO software for design and drawing updates.
  • Experience with passive thermal control hardware, including blankets, MLI (multi-layer insulation), and MMOD.
  • Familiarity with the Orion Drawing release process.

Desired Skills:

  • Extensive knowledge of the Orion Drawing release process.
  • Experience with heaters, thermal preparations, and ATLO (Assembly, Test, and Launch Operations).
  • Experience working with NASA contracts.
