Description We are seeking a competent Network Security Engineer to safeguard our computer networks and systems. The successful candidate will plan and implement security measures to monitor and protect sensitive data and systems from infiltration and cyber-attacks. The ability to think strategically, work with a variety of teams across our organization, and have a keen eye for detail is a requirement for this role. Responsibilities:

  1. Establish, manage and monitor the company's network security for policies and procedures.

  2. Identify, define, and implement system security requirements.

  3. Design computer security architectures and develop detailed network security designs.

  4. Prepare and document standard operating procedures and protocols.

  5. Design and implement IT security systems and networks, ensuring the right architectural and operational balance.

  6. Configure and troubleshoot security infrastructure devices.

  7. Analyze IT specifications to assess security risks.

  8. Conduct and report on periodic network security audits and tests.

  9. Oversee identity and access management.

  10. Coordinate responses to network security incidents.

  11. Develop and implement a technical recovery plan.

  12. Stay up-to-date with the latest information about network security trends and hacker methodologies.

  13. Ensure network security policy and compliance.

  14. Train fellow employees on network security issues and responsibilities. Requirements Qualifications:

  15. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience required.

  16. 3-5 years of system, network, and/or application security experience.

  17. Certifications like Certified Information Systems Security detail oriented (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), CompTIA Security+, or similar would be an advantage.

  18. Knowledge of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and the associated network protocols and concepts.

  19. Proficiency in designing secure networks, systems, and application architectures.

  20. Knowledge of firewalls, VPN, data loss prevention, IDS/IPS, web-proxy, and security audits.

  21. Ability to identify potential weaknesses and implement effective countermeasures.

  22. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex problems and propose practical solutions.

  23. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts in an understandable manner to a range of audiences.
