Position Summary Details

ABM, a leading provider of integrated facility solutions, is looking for a Mobile MaintenanceTechnician to complete assigned preventive maintenance and reactive maintenance repairs. Travel area includes Houston, Beaumont, Waco, and College Station.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform preventive maintenance duties in accordance with ABM standards, building protocol, manufacturer recommendations and industry best practices including changing filters, cleaning coils, flushing condensers, greasing fan, pump and motor bearings as required, inspecting and adjusting belts, replacing motor bearings, aligning pulleys and shafts

  • Perform plumbing, electrical, mechanical or HVAC requirements of the building(s)

  • Maintain heating equipment, DX units, fan coil units, fans, and air distribution systems, etc.

  • Monitor and adjust all mechanical, control gauges, distribution panels, valves, thermostats, diffusers, and other equipment necessary to provide a comfortable environment for the facilities

  • Repair doors, ceilings, hand railings, and floors and other general repairs, adjustments and installations about the property

  • Perform repairs to plumbing fixtures (toilets, urinals, flush valve assemblies, sinks, water fountains, etc.)

  • Inspect sump pump(s), sewage lift stations, catch basins and remove any visible debris to ensure functionality

  • Replace lamps, light fixtures, reinstall or replace signage, verify mechanical rooms are clean and clear of obstructions and debris

  • Inspect all roofs for holes or other damage. Implement temporary repairs and manage permanent repair projects

  • Inspect all parking lots for potholes or other damage. Implement temporary repairs and manage permanent repair projects

  • Verify field conditions and perform any necessary repairs or adjustments

  • Document and report activities to supervisor

  • Respond immediately to emergency situations (fire, evacuation, equipment failure, etc.) and customer concerns

  • Complete all required ABM Safety Training as scheduled

  • Comply with ABM Uniform Dress Code while working and maintain a neat and clean appearance while on the property and working hours

  • Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and company directives as relates to building operations and practice safe work habits

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older

  • Must meet all requirements to receive approval for working in specific ATS environments (if applicable), including ten-year work history if available

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Customer Service Experience

  • 1 yr of similar work experience

  • High School Diploma of GED Equivalent

  • Graduate of apprentice program or trade school preferred
