Robert Half Medical Collections Specialist in HOUSTON, Texas
Robert Half has an opening for a Medical Collections Specialist for a very large third party collections agency. In this role you will work with a team of Collections Specialists to collect on Medicaid, Medicare and other medical debt.
Supervise patient accounts and make revisions as necessary
Follow up with patients and insurance companies regarding outstanding payments and use practice management system to track account revisions
Handle inbound and outbound medical collections calls
To be considered for this role, you must have the following experience:
Cash posting experience desired
Foundational knowledge in medical billing
medical billing - UB92 experience highly desired
Adeptness in medical collections
Deep understanding of medical billing
Knowledge of Medical Payment Poster
High School diploma or equivalent required
Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, written, and listening)
