Responsible for managing assigned product teams who develop, evaluate and implement strategic changes to enhance the desired results. This role will also manage product technology, data, analysis, costs and process related activities. The position will have frequent contact with Field staff and other departments in the Company such as Information Technology, Operations, Sales, Legal and Marketing.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Defines and drives the end-to-end vision and strategy for one or more complex products

  • Manages the entire product lifecycle from strategic planning to tactical activities, and from envisioning to implementation

  • Oversees product timelines to ensure products are delivered on time and within budget

  • Proactively identifies risks and opportunities to product and employs appropriate actions to lengthen the product lifespan

  • Establishes and maintains the product roadmap by prioritizing features to optimize user adoption and improve user experience

  • Leads efforts to design solutions and define business and system requirements

  • Manages overall execution of testing and product release phases

  • Leads feasibility studies and other avenues to capture feedback to help monitor success and drive enhancements

  • Creates and oversees internal governance procedures

  • Develops polished executive-level presentations and confidently delivers the information to internal business associates and external clients in a clear and concise fashion

  • Leads cross-functional teams, serving as a critical liaison between IT, business owners and end users

  • Develops product artifacts such as product positioning, messaging, presentations, training tools, marketing collateral and product demonstrations

MINIMUM Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor degree in Business, Marketing or a related discipline

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years in product management

  • Minimum of 3 years development/analysis

  • Minimum of 1 year supervising others

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Formulating Product and Marketing Strategies

  • Vision and Strategic Thinking

  • Influence others to actively engage in program objectives

  • Public speaking and presentation skills are critical

  • Able to translate business requirements in to technical requirements

  • Financial Planning, Analysis and Forecasting

  • Critical thinking and project management skills required

  • Requires independent judgment and creativity

  • Knowledge of funeral and cemetery products, services, policies and procedures

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Level-headedness to manage multiple activities simultaneously while dealing with ambiguity and uncertainty

  • Capable of managing to a deadline and solving problems on the go

  • Maintain a positive attitude, a desire to help co-workers and a work ethic that motivates others

  • Ability to analyze program data

  • Ability to create process flows, time-tables, instructions, checklists and illustrations

  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Project Management applications

  • Ability to travel as needed
