Robert Half is seeking a licensed attorney for a full-time, fully remote, legal content/evaluation role.

Details:

  • Pay: $26/hour

  • Location: Fully remote

  • Duration: 5+months | Ending 12/31/2024 (with possibility of extension)

  • Hours: 40 hours – Eastern Time Zone

    Job Duties:

The taxonomy team designs, develops and maintains the legal taxonomy for US legal across a broad range of practice areas to meet all customer and product needs. This team is also responsible for classifying legal content to the taxonomy through the creation of complex legal classification rules or assembling high quality training sets to drive machine learning. The role will consist of evaluating the topics applied to US caselaw documents and to other US legal content types for relevancy and/or creating complex Boolean searches for legal topics.

Requirements:

  • Must be an actively licensed attorney and in good standing in any State.

  • Must be able to work EST or CST business hours.

  • Must have extensive experience using Legal Research Software (Westlaw or Lexis Nexis)

    Skills:

  • Knowledge and experience of working with relevant databases and information systems

  • Understanding of and ability to apply QA standards and procedures

  • Experience with MS Office 365, Word, Outlook and Excel is required

  • Capable of supporting work on enrichment guidelines e.g. manual excerption or taxonomy guidelines

  • Able to support work on gold/training set creation and rule-based classification

  • Basic data analysis experience

  • Ability to review and evaluate content to determine if the content is relevant to a particular topic.

  • Creating manual classification rules for legal topics that are used to classify content with a high precision and recall.
