Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Desktop Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, developing, and troubleshooting our organization's desktop systems to ensure optimal performance. Responsibilities:

  • Setting up, managing, and troubleshooting desktop systems, including operating systems, application software, antivirus, and other software applications.

  • Managing and maintaining system updates, ensuring that all desktops are running the most updated and secure versions of all software and operating systems.

  • Assisting with orientation and training of users on how to operate new software and computer equipment.

  • Ensuring all IT equipment complies with industry standards.

  • Analyzing and resolving end-user hardware and software computer problems in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end-user training where required.

  • Assist in preparing, maintaining, and upholding procedures for logging, reporting, and statistically monitoring desktop operations.

  • Resolving technical problems, escalating to IT support or its suppliers where necessary.

  • Managing the user accounts, permissions, access rights, and storage allocations in accordance with best-practice protocols.

  • Responding promptly to service issues and requests and providing end-user support.

  • Maintaining inventory of all equipment, software, and software licenses.

  • Performing on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex PC problems for a variety of end users.

    Requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a relevant field.

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.

  • Proficiency with desktop operating systems, including Microsoft, Linux, and Mac OS.

  • Experience with antivirus software.

  • Excellent problem-solving and multitasking skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.

  • Industry certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Windows 10, CompTIA A+ are a plus.
