Performance Metrics

The Inside Sales Representative is pivotal in Powell's new business acquisition. Success in this role is gauged by prompt responses to inquiries from PSD's internal or external customers. This position provides crucial in-office support for PSD's regional and executive sales teams.

Responsibilities

  • Acquire practical experience through on-the-job training

  • Familiarize oneself with company products and services

  • Develop proficiency in quoting company products and services

  • Understand and address customer needs and requirements

  • Generate and manage quotations

  • Process new orders from entry to invoicing

  • Initiate Grant of Authority approval process

  • Meet Sales quotas

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Proficiency in ERP system: Oracle and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and Word

  • Customer-Oriented mindset

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently

  • Willingness to learn new skills and take on new responsibilities

Working Conditions

  • Temperature-controlled working environment with occasional outside activities

  • Typical office environment with potential discomfort from extended computer use

  • Some travel between buildings on campus and campuses may be required

Physical Requirements

  • Maintain body equilibrium and agility to prevent falls.

  • Perceive size, shape, temperature, or texture through touch

  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods

  • Proficiency in typing and using fingers and palms for tasks.
