Job Summary:

Panelmatic Inc. is seeking a dedicated and skilled Electrical integration associate. The Industrial Electrician is responsible for the installation of various electrical equipment used in buildings and enclosures, which meet dimensional requirements and NEC codes. Set up and align parts per shop prints in preparation for installation and perform electrical wiring operations, utilities, fire alarm systems, power supply systems, etc. and final electrical assembly. Working either individually, or as part of a small team to produce metal buildings and enclosures.

Job Duties:

  • Consults blueprints, work orders, and/or schematics to safely construct specified structure; develops additional sketches if needed.

  • Conduit bending, threading and installation including EMT, RGS and RAL.

  • Installing electrical panels, breakers, fuses and ensuring that the electrical system is properly grounded.

  • Installing electrical wiring, wire, outlets, switches, junction boxes.

  • Installing electrical systems such as security systems, fire detection system, and UPS systems

  • Installing fiber optic cable lines, communication lines, and power systems

  • Installing electrical components in new buildings, machinery, computers, or other equipment

  • Installing heating and cooling systems in industrial buildings

  • Installing cable tray, and open wiring systems

  • Install utility fixtures, outlets, terminal boards, switches, and wall boxes, using hand tools.

  • Cut openings and drill holes for fixtures, outlet boxes, and fuse holders, using electric drills and routers.

  • Measure, cut, and install frameworks to support conduit, control panels, junction boxes, and other devices using hand tools.

  • Reading technical diagrams and blueprints.

  • Design and installation of conduit to fit required space restrictions using 1-line diagrams per NEC codes and customer specifications.

  • Connects electrical systems to powerlines to provide electricity to the building.

  • General knowledge of electrical systems, wiring and NEC codes

  • Using mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic benders.

  • Proficient in the use of test meters, meggers, and other diagnostic equipment.

  • Consult with engineers, engineering technicians, line installers and repairers, or industrial machinery mechanics and maintenance workers when performing installations.

  • Notify the lead person or Inspector when the product is ready for inspection.

  • Maintains a clean and safe work area each day and returns tools to their proper locations.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Three plus years of experience in industrial electrical in a manufacturing environment required

  • Three plus years of experience in the use basic tools (squares, clamps, fillet gauge, angle finder, conduit bender, etc.) required

  • Knowledge of NEC codes and comprehension of general electrical standard required

  • Three plus years of experience in applicable QAPs (Quality Assurance Procedures) required

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal required

  • Ability to convert decimals to fractions and utilize conversion charts required

  • Ability to read a tape measure and prints required

  • US work authorization without sponsorship required

  • Ability to physically push, pull, and lift 50lbs or more required

  • Ability to stoop and bend required

  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for four plus hours at a time required

  • Excellent color vision and eyesight required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Industrial Electrical Certification preferred

  • Forklift certification preferred

  • Experience in RIE and PEC Building

  • Experience in Electrical Racks

  • Extensive knowledge and comprehension of NEC codes.
