UTHealth Human Resources Assistant II - Residents and Faculty Onboarding - 240002OM in Houston, Texas
UTHealth Houston is looking for a Human Resources Assistant II who will concentrate on onboarding residents as well as faculty. You will provide administrative/technical support for these areas and the human resources functions that go along with them.
This role is part of our Employee Services team, which works a hybrid schedule that is somewhat flexible. Yet projects drive work, and certain times of the year will be more time-intensive than others. The office is in the University Center Tower which is at Fannin and Pressler in the Texas Medical Center.
We prefer candidates who have worked with residents and faculty in a university setting.

Position Key Accountabilities:
- Provides daily technical support to clients and/or departmental staff members in assigned areas of human resources.
- Researches, compiles, and analyzes data for various projects and reports. May make recommendations to supervisor on Human Resources issues.
- Processes and/or explains forms to employees and applicants.
- Provides support to hiring managers, candidates, organizational staff, and HR colleagues in one or more of the following areas: HR information systems (applicant tracking system, HRMS); candidate recruitment/screening; employment processing; compensation administration; training administration; employee relations; and/or equal opportunity.
- Researches and answers routine to moderately complex questions or issues in compliance with UT-Houston's policies.
- Prepares procedures for assigned tasks.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education:
High School diploma or its equivalent.
Minimum Experience:
One year of office or administrative experience is required.
Physical Requirements:
Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.

Residency Requirement:
Employees must permanently reside and work in the State of Texas.
