Additional Information: This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, Kinseth Hospitality Companies. The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc. The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotel’s employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment. If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc.

Patrols property to ensure security of guests, building and premises:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

· Completes hotel security checklist.

· Walks through entire property inside building and around the outside to assure security, including locking outside doors.

· Assists guests as requested, including with luggage, room keys, directions, and safety walks to guestroom.

· Enforces a quiet environment for sleeping hotel guests.

· Addresses guest complaints by investigations and giving warnings up to and including eviction of guests or calling police.

· Closes pool and straightens and picks up pool area after closing.

· Checks kitchen, banquet and meeting rooms to make sure doors and cabinets are locked.

· Delivers items to hotel guestrooms for front desk, pillows, blankets, cribs, etc.

· Picks up room service trays and breakfast door knockers, deliver express check outs and morning newspapers as needed.

· Provides transportation as needed in property vehicle and checks vehicles to ensure they are clean and fuel tank full.

· Provides break to night auditor and assists with answering phones.

KHC POLICIES: Responsible for following all KHC policies and procedures as set forth in the KHC handbook and property specific guidelines/standards. These policies include dress code, safety and performance standards. Employees must also maintain a professional image and report to work as scheduled.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. All employees must follow proper safety precautions at all times to avoid injuries.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; stoop, kneel, crouch, bend or twist; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle, grasp or type; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and to push, pull or lift over 10 pounds. The employee is occasionally required to sit and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
