Overview

The primary responsibility of the General Maintenance Technician is to address tenant reactive / requested repairs and services and basic preventative maintenance work orders and maintain a safe environment for building occupants.

The General Maintenance Technician is expected to safely perform a wide variety of duties maintaining, repairing and installing equipment and physical structures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Completes corrective and preventive work orders as assigned.

  • Performs minor electrical repairs, installation and maintenance.

  • Performs scheduled Building safety inspections.

  • Performs minor plumbing maintenance, repair, and installation.

  • Clears obstructions from drain lines.

  • Performs minor HVAC maintenance and repairs.

  • Tasks to include filter replacement, belt changes and greasing of bearings and condensate pan maintenance.

  • Performs minor carpentry repairs.

  • Performs periodic standard and safety inspections and preventative maintenance on tools and equipment.

  • Ability to operate motor vehicles and power tools safely and effectively

  • Ability to understand specifications, blueprints, manuals and schematic drawings for installation, maintenance and repair of structures and equipment is preferred.

  • Supports Special Events when necessary by moving tables, chairs, bleachers and similar activities.

  • Provide excellent customer service.

  • Responds to emergency situations during and after hours.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School diploma or GED

  • 1 year related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Valid Driver's License

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
