ABM Industries General Maintenance Technician in Houston, Texas
Overview
The primary responsibility of the General Maintenance Technician is to address tenant reactive / requested repairs and services and basic preventative maintenance work orders and maintain a safe environment for building occupants.

The General Maintenance Technician is expected to safely perform a wide variety of duties maintaining, repairing and installing equipment and physical structures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Completes corrective and preventive work orders as assigned.
Performs minor electrical repairs, installation and maintenance.
Performs scheduled Building safety inspections.
Performs minor plumbing maintenance, repair, and installation.
Clears obstructions from drain lines.
Performs minor HVAC maintenance and repairs.
Tasks to include filter replacement, belt changes and greasing of bearings and condensate pan maintenance.
Performs minor carpentry repairs.
Performs periodic standard and safety inspections and preventative maintenance on tools and equipment.
Ability to operate motor vehicles and power tools safely and effectively
Ability to understand specifications, blueprints, manuals and schematic drawings for installation, maintenance and repair of structures and equipment is preferred.
Supports Special Events when necessary by moving tables, chairs, bleachers and similar activities.
Provide excellent customer service.
Responds to emergency situations during and after hours.
REQUIREMENTS:
High School diploma or GED
1 year related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Valid Driver's License
Must be 18 years of age or older
