Bomanite Houston is searching for a Decorative Concrete Foreman. We are a full-service architectural concrete company licensed by Bomanite, who since the mid 1950’s, has remained the most recognized architectural concrete systems brand.

Job Summary

This position provides on-site project supervision for field construction activities and personnel.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings/plans.

  • Ability to review documents on an electronic device.

  • Manage and work with concrete crew.

  • Perform various task related to concrete work, such as pouring, stamping, sandblasting, leveling, and finishing.

  • Set forms for footings, walls, slabs, decks, curb/gutter, and sidewalk.

  • Install rebar per shop drawings.

  • Coordinate inspections.

  • Calculate concrete quantities.

  • Communicate quality expectations with crew.

  • Operate hand and power tools.

  • Attend project meetings.

  • Collaborate with supervisor on means, methods, and productions.

  • Proactively identify and resolve field construction problems.

  • Understand CDOT M&S standards.

  • Knowledge of concrete mix designs and quality control requirements.

  • Understand and advocate OSHA regulations.

  • Maintain a clean job site.

  • Attend all safety trainings and meetings as established by our company.

  • Must maintain confidentiality by not disclosing to others any confidential information, proprietary, or trade secret information belonging to the company.

  • Handles diversity and demonstrates team work internally and externally.

  • Other duties as assigned.

    Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Understanding of full decorative systems (i.e. overlays, stains, epoxies, sealers).

  • Experience with polished concrete.

  • Experience with completing turn-key projects.

  • Bi-lingual preferred (Spanish speaking).

  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in decorative concrete.

  • Must have a valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.

  • Reliable transportation to manage multiple projects daily.

  • Knowledge of email usage (i.e., Microsoft Outlook).

  • Knowledge of construction software (i.e., PlanGrid, Fieldwire).

  • Experience managing crews and being a strong leader.

  • Completion of OSHA 30 and First Aid/CPR.

  • Successful completion of our Safety orientation.

    Physical Demands

  • Must possess the ability to walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

  • Must possess the ability to stand for long periods of time.

  • Must be able to climb or balance.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Must be able to push and pull up to 50 pounds.

  • Must be able to walk on uneven terrain, cleated walkways, and wire mesh.

  • Must tolerate working environment with outside temperatures that include excessive heat, cold, wind, and precipitation.
