This is a Temp-to-Hire position and Night Shift : 5pm-5am

POSITION SUMMARY: The Machine Operator Level 2 is responsible for accurately and timely manufacturing machined components used in the Assembly of final products. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES: The Machine Operator Level 2 is accountable for the following functions and responsibilities: Run basic programs. Report on correct production quantity as needed. Utilize basic part inspection equipment. Basic print interpretation. Accurately place part identification on finished goods. Detect and report machine malfunctions. Detect and identify out-of-tolerance production. Execute required tool offsets in tool list to maintain required tolerance. Identify abnormal operating conditions and notify maintenance. Record downtime in electronic system. Maintain weekly NCR levels and rejection rate below 6% of work order. Maintain a scrap rate below 5% Conduct required preventive maintenance (PM's) at assigned station. Consistently achieve daily production target of 90%. Utilization of optical comparator. Removal of CNC waste. Basic understanding of GandM code. Manually "prep" oversized blanks without assistance. Troubleshoot machine, i.e., clear alarms, clogged coolant lines, adjust jaws. Produce parts that require mid-range degree of accuracy. Perform other functions and responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: The Machine Operator Level 2 must at a minimum possess the following: A minimum of a high school diploma or GED. A minimum of one-year experience operating a CNC machine. Ability to work in a team-oriented, high-pressured, and fast-paced environment. Ability to comprehend production requirements. Basic computer literacy skills. Must be self-motivated and be able to work with little or no supervision. Strong time management skills with the ability to effectively operate multiple machines at one time.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The Machine Operator Level 2 must be able to: Lift a minimum of 50lbs, repeatedly, without assistance and up to 100lbs with assistance. Push/pull heavy objects with the proper equipment. Wear the appropriate PPE when required (i.e., safety glasses or side shields, steel-toe footwear, etc.). Stand for long periods of time; up to 8-12 hours a day.
