Universal Engineering Sciences CMT Project Engineer in Houston, Texas

UES is looking for an experienced Project Engineer to join our Construction Materials Testing Department at our Houston location. As a CMT Project Engineer, you will be focused on the management and oversight of CMT projects, communicating with clients, and ensuring successful and timely project completion.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Project coordination and project management of construction materials testing (CMT) work

  • Responsible for managing CMT projects through their lifecycle

  • Prepare various CMT testing reports for clients

  • Analyze and review testing reports for commercial, industrial, retail, government, office, and residential projects

  • Field inspections, such as foundation inspections, shallow foundations, slab-on-grade, post tension, earthwork, and reinforcing and structural steel inspection

  • Client consultation

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be a Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) for the State of Texas

  • Bachelors or Masters in Civil Engineering

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Construction Material Testing

  • Ability to work independently and as part of team

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Valid Texas driver license
