KBR Associate Engineering Manager in Houston, Texas

Title:

Associate Engineering Manager

Under broad direction, this position is responsible for all phases of planning and execution on a smaller-sized (typically less than $50 million total installed cost) project or may be responsible for a segment of a larger project. Plans, organizes, coordinates and controls projects in accordance with the established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements approved by the company.

Has responsibility for day-to-day contact and communication with all engineering disciplines, procurement, scheduling, construction/commissioning and the client and focuses on providing client satisfaction.

Possesses knowledge of the respective industry including Petrochemicals, Refining, Chemicals, LNG, Energy Transition etc. ranging in scope from pre-FEED, FEED to EPCM. Supervises personnel assigned to the project through subordinate leaders. May also serve as the proposal manager of medium-sized projects.

Job Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in Engineering degree preferred.

  • A minimum of five (5) years related experience, with average industry experience of 10 years.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to function within a project team.

  • Willingness to travel to project sites, if necessary.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in project management software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera, or similar tools.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with team members, clients, and stakeholders.

  • Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing project challenges.

  • Attention to detail and the ability to ensure project documentation is accurate and up to date.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

  • Proficiency in using standard office software like Microsoft Office Suite.
