We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Control Room Operator located in Houston, TX for our Onshore Resources & Carbon Management organization.

Responsibilities: 

·         Support operations by maintaining configuration data, troubleshooting errors, and loading data into the Oxy Production Accounting system (ProCount).

·         Resolve day-to-day production, venting, and flaring issues in Oxy’s production accounting system by maintaining system configurations for meters, tanks, networks, and routes.

·         Work with operations to load venting and flaring data into ProCount in accordance with regulatory requirements.

·         Create meters, both physical and virtual, to support operational and business needs using standard naming conventions.

·         QA/QC meters for duplicates, standard naming conventions, state assignments, and categorization.

·         File or support filing State and Federal regulatory reports, as required by operations and regulatory stakeholders.

·         Troubleshoot and remedy allocation and reporting issues.

·         Work with production accounting to resolve operational data issues in ProCount to improve allocations accuracy.

·         Work with operations, automation, and IT to manage and implement automation data points integrated directly to ProCount.

·         Reconcile and maintain ProCount relationships to systems such as SAP PM, SAP PRA, SHER, ProntoForms, and ACTS.

·         Support Production Accounting with errors/reconciliation between ProCount and PRA.

 

 

Qualifications

Qualifications:

·         Minimum of 2 years Oil and Gas production experience working as a Well Analyst, Production Tech, Data Technician, or Production Accountant.

·         4-year college degree required in engineering, computer science, information systems, or related field.

·         Excellent computer skills are required, including:  expert-level proficiency with Microsoft Excel and basic ability to read and write SQL queries.

·         Ability to recognize and manage the data streams from oil and gas production equipment including:  tanks, meters, flares, and LACTs.

·         Ability to work in a team environment with a technically diverse staff ranging from field operators to IT experts.

 

This position is not eligible for relocation.
