Description

Our client in the renewables energy industry is currently in need of an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team based in Houston, Texas on a direct hire basis. This role involves handling tasks related to Accounts Payable (AP), Account Analysis, Account Reconciliation, and using NetSuite and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities:

• Handle the processing of around 300 invoices on a weekly basis

• Utilize NetSuite software for various accounting tasks

• Perform full cycle Accounts Payable tasks including data entry and invoice management

• Handle overflow invoices and ensure they are processed in a timely manner

• Maintain accurate records of customer credit

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action as necessary

• Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns

• Ensure all customer applications are processed accurately and efficiently

Requirements • Proven experience in Accounts Payable (AP)

• Familiarity with account analysis and account reconciliation processes

• Knowledge and proficiency in using NetSuite software for accounting tasks

• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and vlookup functions

• Ability to interpret financial data and communicate findings effectively

• Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy

• Strong organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Good interpersonal skills for communication with internal and external stakeholders

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Degree in finance, accounting or a related field would be advantageous

• Commitment to continuous professional development in the field of accounting.
