As a Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for the General Ledger activities and analysis of the Company. Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information. Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies. In a fast-paced manufacturing environment, the Senior Accountant is an integral part of the monthly close process. They must be competent and understand complex transactions. They should be able to manage their time, meet deadlines and deliver high quality results.

Scope & Responsibilities

· Oversee and contribute to the month and year end closing process

· Perform Balance Sheet Account Reconciliations

· Maintain Fixed Assets and CIP Projects

· Ensure Intercompany activity is properly recorded

· Assist in managing and analyzing inventory

· Calculate Rebate and Commission accruals

· Assist in the annual financial statement (GAAP) and tax audits

· Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports

· Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles

· Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions

· Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information

· Maintain and balance subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies

Requirements

· Education: BS degree in Accounting and CPA are required combined with 7+ years of general accounting experience, either in a public accounting firm or in a private corporate manufacturing environment. Must have 2+ years of accounting management experience as well.

· Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

· Proficient in excel and other MS Office products

· Proficient with accounting software and programs

· Experience with ERP or systems implementation a plus

· Results oriented with strong problem-solving skills

· Superior analytical ability, good judgment and strong operational focus

· Ability to manipulate large amounts of data

· A well-organized and self-directed individual who is a team player

· Resolves issues effectively, being comfortable with conflict, calling out problems, and solving the problems in a practical manner

· Understands complex inventory requirements

· Ability to meet a constant stream of deadlines

· Good verbal and written communication skills

· Active learner
