GS Engineering Lead Electrical Engineer in Houghton, Michigan

As such, this | | | position requires an individual | | | with a strong technical aptitude | | | and the flexibility to adapt to | | | the specific needs of each of our | | | Clients. | | | | | | * * | | +-----------------------------------+-----------------------------------+ | RESPONSIBILITIES: | | +-----------------------------------+-----------------------------------+ | The Lead Electrical Engineer is | | | responsible for the following | | | tasks, and others as assigned: | | +-----------------------------------+-----------------------------------+ | * * | | +-----------------------------------+-----------------------------------+ | - Independently solves | | | technical problems of | | | moderate complexity within | | | their area of expertise and | | | works collaboratively within | | | multidisciplinary teams. | | | Typical assignments may | | | include (but are not limited | | | to); | | | | | | · Development of | | | new/improved platforms including | | | ground-up design, integration of | | | systems, implementation of | | | advanced technologies, and cost | | | reduction; | | | | | | · Design of complex systems | | | including electric vehicle | | | systems / subsystems, embedded | | | processing platforms, FPGA | | | design, and design for EMI/EMC; | | | | | | - Obsolescence engineering; | | | - Analyzes and interprets | | | design specifications, | | | drawings, documentation, | | | and/or test results to ensure | | | technical designs omply with | | | applicable engineering | | | standards, military | | | specifications, and product | | | requirements; | | | - Directs Engineers in the | | | development of circuit card | | | designs, software | | | development, and integration | | | of vehicle systems; | | | - Provides input to Project | | | Managers for the development | | | of project plans, schedules, | | | and budgets; | | | - Compiles reports and present | | | information to Project | | | Managers and Clients; | | | - Responsible for working to | | | project budgets as defined by | | | project management; | | | - Periodic travel as necessary. | | +-----------------------------------+-----------------------------------+ | | | +-----------------------------------+-----------------------------------+ | ACCOUNTABILITIES: | | +-----------------------------------+-----------------------------------+ | Technical | Solve practical engineering | | | problems and deal with a variety | | | of variables and requirements in | | | situations where only limited | | | standardization exists.
