Signature Truck Systems, LLC Technician Truck Up-Fitter (Production Technician) in Houghton Lake, Michigan

Position Summary:

This position is located in Houghton Lake, Michigan. We custom up-fit trucks from a base chassis into a crane or service truck. Must have own basic tool set, be self-motivated and willing to learn/grow with the company and able to work overtime. Competitive pay ($18-$24/hr) based upon experience and knowledge. Base pay may increase with experience and knowledge! $2,000 Sign-On Bonus. Must pass pre-employment criminal background check and drug screen (including marijuana). No weekends! First Shift! Immediate Holiday Pay and bereavement pay! Paid Time Off after 90 Days!

Skills & Experience:

  • Experience working on medium or heavy duty trucks (not engines)
  • Must have own toolbox and basic tools
  • Able to operate small hand tools, cutting torches, forklift
  • Skilled in welding is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skill
  • High professional ethical standard
  • Ability to work in a diverse workplace
  • Ability to perform mathematical computations
  • Strong problem solving and documentation skills
  • Uniforms provided
  • Must pass criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening

. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is:

  • Regularly required to talk, hear, stand/walk, lift/manipulate/carry up to 100 lbs., push/pull up to 100 lbs.
  • Frequently required to stand, sit, reach, handling/gripping, driving, hand/foot controls, near/far acuity, depth perception, color vision, lay on back
  • Occasionally required to climb, stoop, twist, crouch, kneel, lift/carry
  • Extensive use of torches, welders, grinders, hand and/or power tools
  • Must be able to climb up and down ladders and other lifting equipment
  • Must be able to work from the ground, on and under trucks
  • Exposure to varying weather temperatures (due to opening/closing bay doors)
