TOWN OF HOT SPRINGS CHIEF OF POLICE in HOT SPRINGS, Montana

The Town of Hot Springs, Montana is accepting applications for the Full-Time position of Chief of Police. The applicant must be a U.S. citizen; of legal age to perform the duties of this job under MT law; possess a MT drivers license, possess MT POST certification; and or be able to obtain same within twelve (12) months of hire (for those holding certificate from another state); Must be able to handle several tasks simultaneously; be able to react quickly and effectively in stressful situations; work nights, weekends, holidays. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Oversee and manage law enforcement operations within the community - Ensure the safety and security of all residents and visitors - Develop and implement strategies to prevent and respond to criminal activities - Supervise and coordinate police officers and staff - Conduct investigations and gather evidence for criminal cases - Prepare detailed reports on incidents and law enforcement activities - Provide leadership and guidance to the police department - Handle conflicts and emergencies effectively - Utilize driving skills for patrol and response purposes - Maintain a high level of professionalism and integrity in all interactions The Town of Hot Springs retains the right to perform a criminal background check and a personality evaluation on individuals considered for this position.
