KCTCS is an equal opportunity employer and educational institution.POSITION DESCRIPTIONThe primary purpose of the Facilities Worker II is to ensure cleanliness, orderliness, and safety in assigned areas.MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES•Utilize basic equipment and supplies to clean assigned facility areas and remove waste and recyclables. Assigned facility areas will include offices, classrooms, common areas, and restrooms.•Monitor and secure facility interior and exterior entrances as assigned, and report issues to supervisor.•Maintain organization of supply areas and equipment, monitor inventory, and request additional supplies as needed.•Report repairs, violations, and pest control needs to supervisor.•Provide groundskeeping services, including weeding out flower beds, planting and watering plants, and trimming. Maintain clean walkways to ensure they are free of debris, litter, snow, and ice.•Light bulb replacement, minor repairs, and other general maintenance duties.•Assist with general event set-up and tear down on campus. •Other duties as assigned by supervisor.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS •High school diploma or GED and one year related work experience, or equivalent. •Knowledge of general cleaning and safety.•Attention to detail.•Excellent customer service skills.•Cleaning surfaces that may include heights.•Occasional stooping, kneeling, or crouching and the ability to lift 50 pounds.
