Hopkins is located 7 miles west of Minneapolis, boasting natural surroundings in a suburban environment that also provides quick access to major travel ways and local restaurants that give our community a distinct character. Responsibilities Provide direct leadership of Network and Unified Communications Team members. The individual will be self-directed in day-to-day efforts, responding to needs of staff, immediate support requests and identifying and implementing longer term projects. This position is expected to analyze and recommend solutions to complex problems on a routine basis on behalf of the Network and Unified Communications Team. Prioritize workload of self and team daily along with provided project and major incident status as needed. The candidate will provide leadership related to network security, monitoring, hardware, software, configuration, and installations. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Leadership Hire, mentor and coach staff, performance and improvement activities Be an escalation point for your team Conduct regular performance reviews and recommend annual compensation changes based on those reviews Projects Will be a point person for understanding application/system lifecycle and lead multiple projects through planning, requirements, build and execution Will define potential new project intake with requestor, summarize and discuss with team for prioritization Assist in developing annual lifecycle/support budget as well as manage individual projects, budgets and asset submission process Customer service Interact with customers and vendors (internal and external) with a growth mindset and improve department success through great relationships Act as an escalation point for the team, you will work with MFI employees and contractors to resolve outstanding items and ensure overall customer satisfaction Survey customers on periodic basis to gain feedback for continuous improvement with team Day-to-day Identify, recommend, and implement opportunities to leverage technology and enhance process efficiencies that will best support business goals Ensure IT ticket process is followed, monitored, and reported on Quickly adjust to constantly changing conditions, displaying a positive attitude toward new opportunities and change Perform process compliance audit functions as required Ensure on-call after hours support is scheduled and staffed (you will be required to serve as an escalation point after hours) 10% domestic travel may be required. Other duties/responsibilities as assigned Qualifications SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is required Network certifications such as CCNA, CCNP are preferred, CCDA, CCDP and CCDE are a plus 10+ years of Network, Security and VoIP experience in a multi-location environment Extensive knowledge of network security, including firewalls, Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems and vulnerability management solutions Knowledge of routing and switching (including IOS configuration and management), wireless products, Unified Communications, SD-WAN, VPN, TCP/IP, NAT, VLANs, Spanning Tree, Firewall, and Structured cabling Strong problem solving and interpersonal skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
