Cassia Director of Culinary Services in Hopkins, Minnesota

Chapel View , a 4-star rated senior living community, has a new opportunity for a passionate leader to join us as the Director of Culinary Services. The key function of this position will be to lead our culinary team, providing high-quality meals to the residents across our Chapel View campus. This Full-Time Director will be hands on teaching and guiding the culinary team as we open up a brand new building! Your leadership in the kitchen will ensure our residents, guests, and employees have a top-notch dining experience - from food quality to exemplary service.

In this role, you will collaborate with our dietician team to use your culinary expertise to plan enticing & nutritious menu options for our residents and patients as well as special events. Additionally, you'll help build and train the culinary team, provide work direction, and manage all culinary/dietary staff. 

This is a Full-Time, benefit eligible position. In addition to generous benefits, there are no late nights in the kitchen.

    Director of Culinary Services skills and requirements:

  • Culinary Arts degree preferred

  • 3+ years’ experience as lead chef in a hospitality or health care environment

  • Current Food Protection Manager (CFPM) - must obtain within first 90 days of employment

  • 3+ years’ leadership experience in food service management 

  • Knowledge of food allergies, modified textures, therapeutic diets, and diseases related to nutrition

  • Knowledge of computer applications

  • Knowledge of local, state and federal food service regulations

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
