Insight Global Sustainment Engineer in Hope Hull, Alabama
Job Description
Troubleshoot electronics to the component level.
Design test software for automated and manual acceptance test procedures.
Perform Failure Analysis of returned products (electronical, software, mechanical).
Troubleshoot systems and perform root cause analysis.
Write acceptance test procedures.
Provide technical support for manufacturing and test technicians.
Recommend changes to products for design for manufacturing and design for test improvement
with innovative solutions.
Provide technical customer support.
Solve component end-of-life issues with detailed analysis of replacement parts or design
changes.
Evaluate and recommend replacement electronics components.
Provide technical support to contract manufactures of electronics.
Travels as required.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Assumes other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Skills and Requirements
Associates or Bachelors Degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, related field,
or equivalent combination of education and work experience required. Minimum of 5 years
experience desired.
Knowledge of electronics and circuit boards.
Firmware and software programming experience.
Familiarity with Windows and Linux OS.
Knowledge of automated testing equipment is desired.
Understanding of scripting tools for software automation.
Understanding of microcontrollers/processors.
Understanding of communication standards such as Ethernet, RS232, USB null
