We are currently recruiting a National Sales Manager Rheumatology (in-field team coordinator) who will coordinate and manage customer and other in-field commercial activities on a national level for the Rheumatology Portfolio.

Your role at AbbVie

You will lead and coach the In-Field Team (consisting of 3 Product Specialists (reporting directly to you), 1 Medical Science Liaison and 2 Contract Managers and 1 Healthcare Innovation Manager) and be an active Brand Team member to maximize short- and long-term performance by placing the patient at the center of all efforts. As National Sales Manager, you will have the opportunity to manage in-field activities on a national level for 4 Rheumatology indications.

Job Description

  • Deliver sales performance and brand Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to meet or exceed national sales plan within expense budgets.

  • Optimize resource utilization by leading, developing, and coaching the National Sales Team (3 Product specialists), performance including setting sales targets and incentive schemes, managing Sales Force Management Systems and KPIs.

  • Lead, coach and coordinate the cross-functional in-field team ensuring cross functional account goals are jointly set and achieved.

  • Monitor and consolidate the outcomes of regional engagement and account plans to feed the brand planning process and to anticipate market needs and changes.

  • Ensure national priorities, activities and engagement plans are aligned with brand strategy and optimize strategic momentum and drive brand success.

  • Proactively and continuously aspire to serve key stakeholder needs, expectations and challenges to build trusted key stakeholder relationships and to achieve win-win agreements on a continuous basis.

  • Professionally manage and build cross functional cooperation between internal stakeholders while building effective multidisciplinary In-Field Teams.

  • Ensure timely and qualitative market intelligence insights to brand teams and in-field teams to optimize brand strategy and execution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

  • Relevant business experience with proven track record of success within Sales Management biotech/pharma management in respective therapeutic areas and at least one additional therapeutic area.

  • Proven track record of successful leadership, management and coaching of teams and individuals.

  • Sales excellence experience: coach, develop & challenge the team on good selling techniques and account planning leading to execution for optimal results.

  • Ability to think critically and plan strategically (territory and cycle plans, activities, timetables, targeting) and operating with executional excellence.

  • Ability to build strong relationships with KOLs and other relevant stakeholders.

  • Operate, lead, and facilitate effectively in a matrix organization/environment.

  • Fluent in Dutch and English
