Description

We are looking to add a Senior Accountant to the Honolulu Team of Full-Time Engagement Professionals. This role presents an opportunity to work in a challenging environment, where you will be responsible for maintaining and analyzing the company's financial records. Responsibilities:

• Analyzing and reconciling all balance sheet accounts by generating necessary journal entries for each accounting period.

• Applying proficient financial principles to ensure the balance sheet accurately reflects the company's financial state.

• Reconciling the general ledger with financially associated reports such as bank statements, credit card statements, and more.

• Developing ad hoc financial and operational reporting as needed.

• Suggesting changes or improvements to increase accuracy, efficiency, and cost reductions.

• Ensuring compliance with the company's financial procedures and systems, and proposing improvements as required.

• Collaborating with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

• Assisting junior accountants with complex transactions as required.

• Proficient use of MS Office Suite and financial management software (e.g., SAP) for all finance and accounting tasks.

• Employing strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address financial discrepancies and issues.

Requirements • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a Senior Accountant role or similar

• Must possess strong skills in Account Reconciliation

• Proficiency in Balance Sheet Reconciliation is required

• Experience with Bank Reconciliations is a necessity

• Must be adept in handling General Ledger

• Knowledge and experience in Journal Entries is essential

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required

• Experience in Month End Close is a must

• Prior experience in the hotel industry is preferred

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is necessary

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Must have high attention to detail and accuracy

• CPA certification is preferred.
