Applied Research Associates, Inc. Senior Data Analyst / Scientist in Honolulu, Hawaii

Description

The Capital Area Division (CAD) of Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA) is seeking an energetic and experienced Senior Data Analysts / Scientist with a background in supporting the Government in the planning and execution of large technology programs. The successful applicant for this contingent position will support the Office of the Secretary of Defense in Oahu, Hawaii. This position supporting the DoD’s Assault Breaker II (ABII) program requires a candidate with experience leading systems engineering, analysis, development, integration, and test activities required to deliver complex next-generation software-based multi-INT, Activity Based Intelligence, automated collection orchestration, advanced sensemaking capabilities, object-based orchestration, production, and custody.

Required Qualifications:

  • BS in scientific or technical discipline from an accredited institution

  • 10-12 years of relevant experience

  • Current DoD TOP SECRET clearance with SCI eligibility and a counterintelligence-scope polygraph

  • Knowledge of missions, roles, functions, organizational structures, and operations, which govern, interface with and/or influence the systems acquisition process and integrated life cycle management

  • Familiarity with data science, data engineering, and artificial intelligence concepts and algorithms

  • Demonstrated use of programming languages and software to develop data pipelines and data products

  • Experience writing clear and maintainable code to clean, connect, query, and investigate large structured, unstructured, and semi-structured data sets

  • Experience designing rich interactive data visualizations and reports to communicate actionable insights and data/model limitations

Desired Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of relevant experience

  • MS in scientific or technical discipline from an accredited institution

  • Experience supporting the Office of the Secretary of Defense and/or DARPA

  • Experience with the Assault Breaker program

This position is contingent upon award of a contract (one base year + four option years) expected in October 2024 supporting the Department of Defense.
