Job Description

Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children is Hawai'i’s only maternity, newborn and pediatric specialty hospital. It is well recognized as Hawai'i’s leader in the care of women, infants and children. With 253 beds, the not-for-profit hospital delivers 6,000 babies a year, and is also a medical teaching and research facility. Specialty services for patients throughout Hawai'i and the Pacific Region include intensive care for infants and children, 24-hour emergency pediatric and adult care, critical care air transport and high-risk perinatal care. Over 1,400 employees and more than 700 physicians provide specialty care at Kapi'olani. The hospital is home to the Kapi'olani Women’s Center and the Women’s Cancer Center, and offers numerous community programs and services, such as specialty pediatric clinics, the Kapi'olani Child Protection Center and the Sex Abuse Treatment Center.

Our Imaging Services offer a wide range of technologies from simple X-rays to complicated interventional radiological procedures. Our highly trained professionals and state-of-the-art facilities provide quality imaging services for patient diagnosis and treatment, including: Diagnostic Radiology, Computerized Tomography, Mammography, Ultrasonography, Nuclear Medicine, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Electroencephalography, Electrocardiogram, Holter Monitoring and Echocardiography.

As the Radiology Technologist, you will help to ensure that the Imaging Services at Kapi‘olani provide quality diagnostic services and care for patients and their families by performing radiographic procedures. We are looking for someone with exceptional patient care and technical skills, who shares our commitment to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai‘i’s people.

Minimum Qualifications: Current Hawai‘i Radiologic Technologist license. Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR card.

Preferred Qualifications: Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT)(R) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT). One (1) year recent radiology or related experience.

Rate of pay for selected candidates will be determined by various factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, relevant experience and training, as well as internal peer equity.

Please be advised the Hawai‘i Nurses’ Association (HNA) at Kapi‘olani Medical Center for Women & Children is conducting a strike from September 13, 2024 at 7 a.m. until September 14, 2024 at 6:59 a.m. Kapi‘olani has advised HNA that it will impose a lockout of all registered nurses represented by HNA effective beginning at the end of the strike.
