RESPONSIBILITIES

Starting Pay:

$18.00 to $20.70 Hourly rate

The starting pay above may be higher commensurate with experience.

I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• The Home Care Representative Associate (HCRA) assists the Home Care Representatives to facilitate referrals for Medicare Certified home health services to ensure appropriate continuity of patient care through the expert utilization of the document management system and electronic medical record systems.

• The HCRA collaborates and assists our internal and external customers to provide a comprehensive referral for the clinicians. The HCRA assists with office/clinic referrals as needed and as appropriate.

II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Sitting, finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking.

• Constant: reaching above, at and below shoulders; repetitive arm/hand motion and frequent gripping of objects.

• Frequent: standing, walking, stooping/bending, and twisting body.

• Occasional: lifting and carrying weight up to 35 pounds, pushing/pulling 3.5 pounds of force.

III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Not subjected to adverse environmental conditions.

IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:

• High school diploma or equivalent, and/or higher education including certification(s) in healthcare or medical assisting programs.

• Valid driver’s license, vehicle, vehicle insurance as required by state law.

• Driver’s abstract or evidence of good driving record.

B. EXPERIENCE:

• Experience working in a health care environment.

• Prior office experience, answering telephones, operating office equipment and contact with people.

• Two (2) years work experience in a healthcare office environment preferred.

• One (1) year work experience in a home care organization preferred.

• Experience to demonstrate:

• Ability to operate various office equipment such as computers, calculator, copier facsimile, and shredder.

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, staff, and the public.

• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
