Queen's Health System Diag/Medical Sonographer - MFM (Full Time, 40, Rotating) in Honolulu, Hawaii

RESPONSIBILITIES

I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepares and performs maternal fetal medicine ultrasound examinations on patients.

• Collaborates with physicians on examinations.

II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Walking, twisting body, finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking; reaching above and at shoulder level; repetitive arm/hand motions; static gripping of an object for prolonged periods; frequent gripping of an object.

• Continuous: sitting, reaching below shoulder level.

• Frequent: standing, stooping/bending, pushing/pulling maximum weight of 50 pounds.

• Occasional: sitting, kneeling, climbing stairs, squatting, lifting and carrying weight of 10 pounds up to 20 pounds.

III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.

• Must be flexible with schedule changes to meet operational needs.

• May require inter-island and outer-island travel to various QHS locations.

IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:

• Graduate of a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.

• Registered by American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN).

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, business or related field preferred.

• Registered by American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) in Fetal Echocardiography (FE) preferred.

• Cervical Length Education and Review (CLEAR) credential preferred.

• Current BLS certification.

B. EXPERIENCE:

• Prior recent experience as a diagnostic medical sonographer in maternal fetal medicine or high-risk obstetrics in an acute healthcare facility preferred.
