Position : Contact Representative

Location : Honolulu, HI

Primary Purpose:

Receives, records, relays and processes trouble reports, inquiries and service order requests with customers and employees by priority of time commitments and due date; tests trouble reports/service order requests upon completion and initiates corrective action, after hours, weekends and holidays; performs other related, marginal duties as required.

Essential Duties/Functions:

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Answers, handles dispatches and coordinates statewide trouble calls and service order requests according to established procedures. Expedites those reports/service order requests identified for priority response and completion.

  • Receives calls from field forces upon completion of trouble reports/service order work. Provides ring backs and automated 4TEL completion tests. Okays and records information upon completion.

  • Quotes charges and initiates service charge forms when required.

  • Maintains and updates service order control log, customer record files and dispatch map.

  • Classifies nature of report/service order request, makes time commitments/appointments relative to access availability for clearance and disposition.

  • Utilizes CRT and other office equipment to process all trouble reports and installation requests.

  • Processes temporary suspensions and restorals of customer accounts.

Employee Qualifications:

  • Tests Results obtained in standard tests for this position must meet minimum requirements established by the testing program.

  • Physical Demands:

  • Ability to perform duties while wearing a headset.

  • Ability to sit at position for long periods of time.

  • Ability to speak distinctly, using correct grammar.

  • Mental Demands:

  • Requires alertness and attention to detail.

Working Conditions:

  • Indoor office work. Uses standard office furniture and equipment.

  • Weekday, weekend and holiday work tours including day, evening and night hours.

  • Subject to occasional overtime and callout.

Pay Range: $16.44 - $29.06
