RESPONSIBILITIES

Starting Pay:

$16.20 to $18.63 hourly rate

The starting pay above may be higher commensurate with experience.

I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Under the general direction of the Intake Manager, the Clinical Office Assistant receives, records, and schedules Medicare certified patient services according to the patients' needs and staffing availability.

• Provides clinical support to the Intake Manager related to operational needs.

• Performs appropriate and timely follow-up in response to patients’ services and clinical needs.

• Provides day-to-day staff and administrative assistance; triages and schedules patients; screens and refers phone calls; communicates with clinical staff and patients; clerical and staff support to clinical teams and assists with clinical processes as required.

II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Seeing, speaking, hearing, finger dexterity.

• Constant: reaching above, at and below shoulders; repetitive arm/hand motion and frequent gripping of objects.

• Frequent: walking, standing, stooping/bending, and twisting body.

• Occasional: lifting/carrying weight up to 35 pounds, pushing/pulling 3.5 pounds of force.

III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Not subjected to adverse environmental conditions.

IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

B. EXPERIENCE

• Prior clerical office experience answering telephones, operating office equipment with accuracy, and contact with people.

• Ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple projects concurrently.

• Ability to use Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, and Word.

• Ability to operate various office equipment such as computers, facsimile, calculator, and copier.

• Able to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.

• Familiarity with medical terminology.
