Queen's Health System Clinical Imaging Assistant (Full time, 40, Rotating) in Honolulu, Hawaii

RESPONSIBILITIES

I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs administrative and patient care related duties as assigned.

• Maintains accurate records in information management systems.

• Provides assistances to staff members (physicians, technologists) and other clinical personnel.

II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Essential: standing, walking, finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking, pushing/pulling usual weight of 20 pounds up to 50 pounds, reaching above, at, and below shoulder level, repetitive arm/hand motions, static gripping of an object for prolonged periods, frequent gripping of an object.

• Continuous: stooping/bending. Frequent: sitting.

• Occasional: kneeling, climbing stairs, walking on uneven ground, squatting, twisting body, lifting and carrying weight of 10 pounds up to 20 pounds. Operates telephone and various department and imaging equipment.

III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.

• May be exposed to chemicals, body fluids, communicable diseases.

IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Familiarity with medical terminology preferred.

• Current CPR certification at BLS/HCP level.

B. EXPERIENCE:

• One (1) year work experience as an Imaging Assistant or similar position required.

• Knowledge of computer and imaging information systems including scheduling, using Care*link/Radiant system required.

• Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak and understand English.

• Prior acute care hospital experience highly desirable, preferably in a comparable medical center.

• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced health care environment.
