Job Description

Hawai'i Pacific Health is a not-for-profit health care network with over 70 locations statewide including medical centers, clinics, physicians and other caregivers serving Hawai'i and the Pacific Region with high quality, compassionate care. Its four medical centers - Kapi'olani, Pali Momi, Straub and Wilcox - specialize in innovative programs in women’s health, pediatric care, cardiovascular services, cancer care, bone and joint services and more. Hawai'i Pacific Health is recognized nationally for its excellence in patient care and the use of electronic health records to improve quality and patient safety.

The Supply Chain Management team is dedicated to overseeing the purchase of equipment, merchandise and supplies within the organization’s guidelines for cost, quality and accurate delivery. Staff may receive, stock and transport a variety of items to and from off-site locations, handle messenger pickups and deliveries outside the facilities, maintain stockroom inventories, route incoming goods to proper departments and research or negotiate products according to quality, price and value standards.

If you are highly organized and detail-oriented, you can help our Supply Chain Management department to provide accurate and timely supplies throughout the Hawai‘i Pacific Health network. As the Materials Management Data Analyst, you will responsible for analyzing System Purchasing trends, patterns and processes to determine supply usage across the system. You will recommend processes for improvement based on reports consolidated from the EDI and financial data that provides a picture of the current supply system status and needs. You will also oversee the analysis and development of standardization as it pertains to expense reduction opportunities and improvements of contract compliance. Other duties include information gathering, vendor relations, proposal and contract review, preparation of monthly dashboards on department progress, project analysis, and reporting to support the Value Analysis Teams (VATs). We are looking for someone with excellent management and planning skills and a commitment to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai‘i’s people.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field, or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience. Three (3) to five (5) years of business related experience to include purchasing, contract analysis, proposal development, or related functions. Must have demonstrated strong analytical, information systems, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Health Care Administration, or related field. Experience with purchasing and/or service contract, contract negotiation, or a national or local Group Purchasing Organization (GPO).
