This is a new role within the Markets Sales COO team which will have responsibility for leading the Business Execution and Risk & Control function for Sales across Asia clusters (Japan, Asia North & Australia (JANA) and Asia South (AS)). This role will report to the Sales Business Execution Head in New York, , while working closely with the JANA/AS Cluster Sales Head. This is a leadership role overseeing a small team.
The Sales COO team establishes and maintains a robust 1st Line of Defense control environment and culture to minimize operational risk within the business. The ideal candidate should demonstrate proven ability to lead a team and work together with multiple stakeholders across Markets, Compliance, Finance, HR, O&T and Risk. The role requires strong analytical, interpersonal and leadership skills that rely on influence and building effective partnerships to execute our business plans and controls in a systematic, measurable, and effective way.

Key Responsibilities:
Governance, Risk & Controls
Represent Sales COO on governance forums in conjunction with the Global Risk & Control team
Identify, prioritize and develop execution plans to address any emerging risks or regulatory developments
Own development of new Risk and Controls capabilities
Ensure the business is run in compliance with all internal and regulatory standards
Coordinate regulatory reviews
Assist in internal audit reviews, providing materials and address concerns arising from these reviews
Work with Sales to instill a strong culture of conduct and control
Business Management
Support sales heads and managers in day-to-day administration of the business
Support the business growth strategy and drive implementation of strategy
Work with Cluster Markets and Cluster Sales heads to manage Cluster Sales budget and headcount requirements, and understand financials and drivers
Manage Sales’ plan, outlook processes, and oversee monthly and quarterly business reviews
Assist business heads in responding to changes in the environment
Human Capital Management
Manage a team of business management professionals in the JANA/AS clusters
Ensure the people strategy and organizational capabilities are aligned to business strategy
Attract, develop and retain talent; manage headcount and hiring processes
Drive internal mobility, diversity and inclusion priorities as well as location strategies
Experience, Skills and Capabilities:
Leadership skills to help manage a large, complex global business
Thorough understanding of markets; a minimum of 10 years relevant Markets experience
Understanding of the Risk and Controls environment
A solid understanding of Asian markets and regulations
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Credibility to lead, manage, motivate and influence a diverse population of direct reports across geographies, functions and matrix reporting lines
Superior problem-solving skills; pragmatic approach to ensure limited resources are directed appropriately
Have a strong attention to detail and organizational skills
