Jabra Senior Manager, Industrialization in Hong Kong, Hong Kong

Would you like to see your ideas brought to life with the speed of light? Do you know how to design for X and help place automation at the core of our large-scale manufacturing set-up?

Then you should join us as our new Senior Manager of APAC Industrialization. In this role, you will manage a team handling complex manufacturing projects and be the anchor for our ambitious industrialization strategy.

Design for the power of sound

Through the Jabra brand, GN Audio develops advanced headsets and headphones to make life sound better for people around the world. Along with 29 colleagues, you will become part of the global Industrialization Product Management department – joining of us at the GN Site office in Shenzhen, Xiamen, Hong Kong or Singapore. Here, you will become instrumental to our entry into Industry 4.0 as we strengthen the large-scale production of our world-class Jabra solutions, produced in China and Southeast Asian countries.

Drive DFX for brand new products

You will manage a team of experts in new product development projects from early concepting over delivery to large-scale production. Our projects last 9-12 months, while team members simultaneously working on strategic development projects within the team and continuous improvement projects within the GN Organization. With the aim of bringing our manufacturing processes from semi- to fully automated, you will:

  • Manage resources to ensure timely and stable product launch while balancing team members' workload

  • Participate in keeping processes up-to-date and relevant

  • Liaise with other operational areas in the organization to secure specialized resources and contributions for the project

  • Conduct meetings and prepare reports to communicate the status of the team's efforts to upper management

  • Set priorities, allocate tasks, and coordinate staff to meet project targets and milestones

  • Coach and mentor staff and assist them to solve problems

  • Get involved in high-priority tasks as a dedicated manager

  • Create and Provide team result and status overview to upper management

In this role, global travel is expected in a regular basis to support team members working locally at our partner sites and discuss improvements with our suppliers.

Leading major technology shifts with intelligent audio solutions

With R&D happening in Denmark, USA, Italy, China etc., and assembly sites in Poland, Mexico and the US and all manufacturing located in Asia, you will join an international environment and work with people from different cultures.

Managing a team of experts within manufacturing

For this position, we need you to bring your experience with Industry 4.0 and automation to the table. As a person, you are well-structured, ambitious, and co-operative with a strong mindset to take leadership and responsibility within all activities which influence industrialisation development. We expect you to be open, communicative and a team player with a positive mindset even in challenging situations. Finally, you must share our values and passions for industrialization development at a very high and challenging level.

Furthermore, we imagine that you have:

  • Proven track record and 10+ years of experience managing technical teams within manufacturing of electronics.

  • Solid project management experience and a process mindset

  • DFX experience – especially when it comes to design for repair, automation and cost

  • Proven experience in DFM and DFA analysis and with creating cost/benefit justified proposals for improvement to be presented to management team members as investment proposals
