DESCRIPTION OF WORK

Psychiatric Rehabilitation promotes recovery, full community integration, and improved quality of life for persons who have been diagnosed with any mental health condition that seriously impairs their ability to lead meaningful lives. The Social Service Aide 2 will be recovery oriented and will offer choice, hope, and empowerment to participants. In this role, you will be responsible for: Transporting consumers to and from program safely Working in a group setting or individually with participants to teach skills to promote recovery Assisting individuals with learning and accessing resources Completing daily notes to document progress Performing general housekeeping maintenance Participating in training Providing support and guidance to staff

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as a County Social Services Aide 1; or Graduation from high school, or its equivalency, and two years of experience in public contact work in a human services agency which included one year of experience in interviewing and obtaining information; or An associate's degree in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
