What does a Bank Teller do?

A Teller is so much more than accepting deposits, cashing checks and balancing a cash drawer accurately and efficiently! Tellers provide quality customer service by being friendly and courteous, answering customers’ questions, and maintaining an awareness of opportunities for customers to enhance their banking experience with CNB. Tellers have to abide by current laws/regulations, and bank policies & procedures and they also keep an eye out for potential fraud. Tellers are the face of the bank!

Location: Honeoye Falls

You must be available to work within all branch hours:

Monday – Friday: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Saturday, 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.*

Part-time hours 30-35 hrs. a week

*We ask tellers to be available for at least 2 weekend days per month, Saturdays or Sundays, 9-1 p.m.

Training:

Our Teller training program is a three month paid training program that is close to full time hours. New tellers must be available for the full three months of training. Date of next teller training class to be determined.

Basic Qualifications:

A high school diploma or high school equivalency is required.

Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.

PC proficiency.

Ideal Qualifications:

Minimum of one year of prior banking experience.

Strong customer service/sales experience.

Cash handling skills.

    Compensation range- $18-$19
