Job Overview

Dismantles, rebuilds, and installs panel boards, control cases, cable reels and associated electrical equipment. Performs final assembly and testing.

Key Job Responsibilities

Dismantles electrical control cases, panel, cable reels, and related electrical equipment. Removes all wire, cleans electrical connections, paints panels and control cases. Checks electrical components with volt-ohm meter; replacing or repairing parts as required. Using various diagrams, reassembles and installs control cases, panel boards, cable reels and other electrical components. Tests function of reassembled equipment, consulting with supervisor when required. Obeys all safety rules and performs housekeeping assignments. Qualifications/Requirements

Possess an Associate Degree in Electricity and or received Electrical underground mining training; Have basic tools or be willing to purchase; Able to work any shift; Able to work overtime; Able to work weekends; Perform basic math functions; Perform metric conversions; Read electrical schematics & wiring diagrams; Use tape measure (metric & imperial); Use feeler gauge; Use digital Protractor; Use insulation resistance tester (Megger); Use noncontact thermometer; Use multimeter (analog & digital); Proper operation of fork trucks; Proper operation of cranes; Safety training (Haz-Com, Lock Out / Tag Out, PPE, MSDS, Housekeeping, Lifting, Electrical); Knowledgeable of ISO Standards; Basic computer skills; Knowledgeable of SAP applications a plus.
