Changing Tides Therapy Services is seeking a skilled and passionate Pediatric Occupational Therapist, Registered, Licensed (OTR/L) to join our dynamic team. As a vital member of our clinic, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and their families while enjoying a supportive and positive work environment.

OTR/L Job Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the work of Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA), and other professionals who implement pediatric occupational therapy treatment
  • Conduct evaluations through norm referenced and/or criterion referenced measures necessary for service provision
  • Formulate appropriate treatment plans that align with family priorities and are sensitive to clients' cognitive, social, emotional, motor and sensory needs
  • Collect ongoing program data analysis to ensure maximum client progress
  • Provide ongoing treatment for clients that align with treatment plan and family goals
  • Participate in inter-professional collaborations existing both within the clinic and community
  • Operate within time, financial, and other resource constraints
  • Remain abreast of regulations and evidence-based practice standards and adjust treatment accordingly
  • Provide ongoing support for clients, their families and others involved in their care
  • Attend staff meetings as scheduled
  • Develop and provide staff training as requested by an owner or other designated manager
  • Attend trainings relevant to the position
  • Other duties as assigned

OTR/L Minimum Skills and Qualifications:

  • Active State of Alaska license as an Occupational Therapist
  • At least 2 years' experience working as an OTR/L (pediatric population preferred)
  • Maintain active registration with NBCOT as an Occupational Therapist Registered
  • Adhere and comply with State of Alaska licensure requirements
  • Remain current on all required or requested trainings/certifications necessary for the position with Changing Tides Therapy Services
  • Expert knowledge of intervention planning for developing occupational therapy treatment that focus on increasing skills necessary for healthy, meaningful, day-to-day living
  • Adhere to AOTA Code of Ethics for Occupational Therapists
  • Demonstrate efficiency in productivity requirements (i.e. chart notes, report writing, etc.)
  • Experience with office productivity suites such as Google Suite systems
  • Ability to utilize a fax machine, phone system, and other office materials as necessary for the position
  • Ability to respond quickly to phone calls, text messages, and emails
  • Demonstrate professionalism and respect in all interactions with clients and clinic staff
