JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible to maintain a high level of sanitation to minimize food bourne illness and cross contamination of food by following set procedures in washing dishes, pots, pans and the proper storage of these items.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Demonstrates, promotes and integrates the Trinity Health Senior Communities Mission and core values by:

  1. Responsible to set up dishwashing and pot sink area for service.

  2. Wash dishes, pots and pans, during service, return to storage area.

  3. Responsible to maintain weekly cleaning schedule.

  4. Responsible to dispose of trash, boxes, cans and bottles in their proper receptacles.

  5. Responsible to sweep and mop kitchen floor, walk-in refrigerators and tile area in dining room.

  6. Responsible to wash floor mats.

  7. Responsible to maintain the kitchen and dining room area with a high level of sanitation to minimize food bourne illness and cross contamination of food.

  8. Responsible to follow set closing procedures.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  1. Work requires the ability to understand written and verbal instruction.

  2. Work requires lifting objects of fifty pounds or more.

  3. Work requires standing for extended period of time.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  1. Work requires the handling of hot liquids, toxic or flammable liquids, or contaminated materials, which requires caution and use of established safety guidelines and equipment.

  2. Requires working evenings weekends and holidays.

  3. Requires working in extreme heat.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:

  1. Reports to the Cook, Souse Chef, Coordinator Dietary or the Director of Food Service.
