Paramount Senior Financial Analyst, Content Finance in Hollywood, California

Overview & Responsibilities

Paramount is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join the Content Finance team of Showtime/MTVE Studios! As a key member of the team, the Senior Financial Analyst will perform essential Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) duties including assisting with the preparation of the annual Financial Budget, Monthly Forecasts, and Cause of Change, and Return on Investment analysis. Additionally, help develop automation solutions and process standardization in key areas.

This role offers an opportunity to work across the various Showtime/MTVE Studios lines of businesses (Production, Distribution, etc.) and also provides exposure to a number of other teams within the Company (Corporate Planning and Controllership). The ideal candidate will be highly driven, interpersonal, able to process many tasks simultaneously with accuracy and take the initiative to drive operational improvements.

In partnership with the Senior Director, you will:

  • Support the budgeting, forecasting, and operational monthly reporting for Studio content.

  • Assist with the management of Studio content Return on Investment's, partnering with streaming, licensing, business affairs, and P&R teams.

  • Participate in ERP integration initiatives (SAP S/4HANA).

  • Support the forecasting and planning for participations & residuals expenses across the Studio slate.

  • Liaison with Planning & Scheduling to prepare and deliver programming slates to the Finance team.

  • Assist with the preparation of dashboards to provide executive level summaries on content performance and costs.

  • Perform ad-hoc analysis at the request of Studio Leadership.

  • Establish connections with Finance teams across the brands/businesses.

This role will report to the Senior Director, Programming Finance and work a hybrid schedule of the Hollywood, CA office!

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree required (in Business, Finance or Accounting preferred)

  • 4+ years in Finance/Accounting, preferably within the Media/Entertainment industry

  • Advanced Excel skills

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify and resolve issues

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to summarize ideas and issues

  • Strong attention to detail without losing sight of broader objectives and organizational skills

  • Ability to drive process improvements and meet deadlines

  • Work well in a dynamic and changing environment and with various teams

  • Ability to balance multiple tasks and projects at the same time, while keeping supervisor informed

  • Contract knowledge: Must be able to interpret complex talent, co-production and licensing agreements

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $72,900.00 - 95,000.00.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
