Join us as a Surface Mount Technician II Your Skills Assemble printed circuit boards using all surface mount equipment and processes. Determines sequence of operations by studying assembly instructions, drawings, specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, tools, and materials. Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's recommendations; reporting malfunctions to the maintenance department or manufacturer as required. Prepares machines for production by performing set-up operations, selecting correct profile to use for solder or glue operation; and loading parts. Assures the manufacture of quality SMT boards by following predefined ESD and SMT practices; monitoring and correcting paste quality. Verifies specifications by self-inspecting documentation and completed boards to PS8711PS. Resolves assembly problems by gathering pertinent data, identifying and evaluating options, and recommending a course of action. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures and rules. Maintains supply inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies, placing orders for supplies, verifying receipt of supplies. Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results. Documents actions by completing production, inventory, and quality forms accurately. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing department/company results as needed; maintaining effective communications with teammates, customers, and suppliers; accepting new challenges. Your Experience Min Minimum education required to perform the job: high school diploma or equivalent. Prior SMT experience. Interpreting drawings and assembly aids; hand soldering; repair techniques; safety procedures; electro-static discharge control; inventory control; proper use and control of third tier documents; original document control. Special skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft programs. Upon successfully complete training/certification/recertification, will be expected to perform all SMT duties, while demonstrating Schindler core values. Must get certification in Aegis Software Programming. Commit to 2 years in the role and if employee shouldrefuse to train or quits, employee is responsible to reimburse the company the costs of the training on a pro-rated basis.
