Job Title: Senior Engineer, Vision Systems

Reports to: Electrode Equipment Inspection Part Leader

Summary:

This position leads, projects newly installing the machine vision systems in electrode process and develops vision software in-house. The structure, inspection algorithm and logic of vision software were developed, and current position needs to have ability understanding of the software, optimizing the algorithm and software logic.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform to lead project of vision system installation

  • Perform verification to get a result of gage R&R of vision system installed

    (If the verification result is failed, has to find root causes why result is failed)

  • Perform to find root cause vision issues about overkill and leakage and suggest solutions, to resolve the issue.

  • Perform to develop vision software based on software structure that already was developed algorithm, functionality, interface logic between PLC and vision. (Ability to develop vision software independently from structure to end.)

  • Perform to improve image quality of vision system based on knowledge of hardware like optics, camera type, Etc.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or related

Experience:

  • 7-10+ years of software development of experience in machine vision system

  • Experience to lead members of project

  • Experience to set up vision systems including hardware, camera, optics, Etc.

Skills:

  • English Korean bilingual skill (Vision vendors are Korea)

  • Ability to develop vision software

  • Programming skills: C++, C#, Data Structure, Image Processing including commercial library like Halcon, Mil (Currently using Halcon library of the MVTec)

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • Have strong accountability, critical thinking and self-motivation

Physical:

  • Must be able to properly and regularly utilize the following PPE for a period of up to 12 hours.

    • Safety glasses

    • Steel-toed shoes

    • Latex Gloves

    • Respirator

  • Must be able to do the following repeatedly for a period of up to 12 hours.

    • Lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds

    • Stoop, twist, bend

    • Reach overhead

    • Sit and/or stand
