KEY Personnel Spray Painter 1st NEEDED in Holland, Michigan

Ideal candidate would perform production spray painting using HVLP guns of racks and containers made out of steel tubing measuring up to 8' by 8'.  Also, utilizing a hilo to move racks to and from wash bay. 

Duties and Responsibilities

Essential

Within two weeks of on the job training, should possess strong knowledge of HVLP spray guns and their proper usage, specifications, and maintenance requirements.

 

Ability to set-up spray equipment and makes minor adjustments to achieve desired spray pattern. Paint items effectively with even coating, no thin or bare spots and minimal runs.

 

Lift, handle, and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs and to stand on feet for entire eight hour shift.  Must be able to bend, crouch, stoop, and maneuver around items for effective paint coverage.  Must be able to identify paint colors by eye sight with accuracy.

 

Read, follow, and understand work order instructions from an Excel spreadsheet pertaining to all finish requirements including paint color, application, fasteners, estimated cycle times, etc.

 

Complete painting of items within required cycle times on a regular basis.

 

Operates forklift, hoist, or pallet truck to lift or transport heavy loads into paint booth.

 

Preps items for painting as needed.

 

Must wear an OSHA approved respirator while painting and must pass a licensed physician's evaluation for approval to wear a respirator while on the job.  All paint room employees must wear their respirators as instructed and care and maintain their respirators as required.

 

Documents work performed, as required.  

 

Maintains a clean work area with daily clean up and organization, as instructed.

 

Assist supervisor with inventory count at end of month.

 

Additional

Prepare product for shipping when necessary by stacking, palletizing, wrapping, and/or banding in order to transport product safely and efficiently while maintaining coating integrity.

 

Assist with ordering paint and other supplies for department when needed.

 

$18/HR
