Coastal Careers, Inc. Punch Press Operator in Holland, Michigan

Summary/Objective

The press operator is responsible for handling press operations and deburring functions for the manufacturing process.

Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. 1. Perform typical press operations. 2. Use appropriate equipment to deburr parts. 3. Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor. 4. Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations. 5. Perform prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as required.

Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. Safety glasses and other PPE required, as necessary.

Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position, 8-10 hours per day (depending on schedule) with overtime as needed to meet production schedules.

Preferred Education and Experience 1. 3 years of factory-related experience in a press environment. 2. High school diploma or equivalent
